“Discount Discipleship”

In Luke 9:57-62, Jesus, in this passage, addresses more than the barriers of labels, resentments, and appearances to what discipleship requires. As we ponder these words, it becomes clear why many who declare they are disciples of Jesus do not even know what he expects.

There is an apparent disconnect between the discipleship of Jesus and what individuals and churches call discipleship. Recognizing if you have adopted a discount discipleship will help you begin to pursue being a genuine disciple.
