Our Children’s Ministry program, led by Pastor Mike Stavig, is designed to help kids, 1st-6th grade, learn about who Jesus Christ is and how to build a relationship with Him. We believe that every child is a gift from God and that every child deserves to be loved like Christ loved the church. We believe that kids matter to God.
What to Expect…
When coming to church, children can expect to learn about Jesus through a variety of things like music, drama, games, activities, crafts, and more. We provide several different avenues to teach children the importance of serving. The children can always expect to learn while having fun! We focus on creating a safe environment so children can learn and have fun without any distractions. Parents are always welcome to join their children in their classes.
The purpose of Awana is to train young people throughout their childhood to stand firm for God in their world. Through age-appropriate handbooks, Bible lessons, and games, we teach children biblical truths and how to apply those truths to their lives.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)
VBS is one of our largest local church events of the year for children in Preschool to those who just finished 6th grade. Pastor Mike, along with all of the other pastoral staff, teams up with over 100 volunteers to transform the church building with tons of decorations and teach all of the children who join us about who Christ is and what He did for us. VBS is filled with much fun and laughter, giving kids and parents a place to go for the morning and to enjoy all the fun festivities.
One of two major camps we host every year, is our Kids Camp, located on beautiful Clear Lake in the Cascade Mountains, for children 1st-6th grade. This camp allows children to get into a different environment so they can focus totally on joyously growing in their relationship with Jesus. Children can expect to have a lot of fun with tons of activities like swimming, paddle boating, row boating, crafts, games, recreation, and so much more! We have our own camp nurse and kitchen crew to make sure all of the children stay safe and well fed. This camp is where our YES team really gets to shine as they lead a large portion of the camp’s activities, including cabins, while our adult advisors are there to help out the YES team wherever they are needed.
