VBS Celebration 2016

Dear friends,

Thank you for praying and supporting our VBS this year. We had a great week. Many children came to trust Jesus as Lord and Savior. We as a church have always been very focused on reaching, loving and blessing children.

Most people come to trust Christ before the age of eighteen. So we put a great deal of time and resources into serving children and their families.
Please pray for this Sunday’s services. Many new children and parents will be present to check out the church after VBS. Please be aware and welcoming.
The way we show God and each other how much we love TFBC is by attending a worship service where we can hear and see what God is doing in the whole church. Plan to attend both Sunday school and a worship service.

I really want to challenge you to make giving a priority over the next few months. As you financially support your church, you say this is what you value. As we go through the summer offering kids camp, soccer camp and youth camp, we need your generous sacrificial financial support.  I know it is easy to forget that part. You blessing kids will be you giving generously. Please don’t neglect your tithes and your giving to the camp reserve fund.

This Sunday’s message is on how you can be a blessing to children. Blessing children is one of the most important ways we must be like Jesus.

Mar 10:13-16, And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked them. 14But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, “Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.” 16 And He took them in His arms and began blessing them, laying His hands on them.

When we fail to be a blessing to children, we miss God ‘s blessing and face His anger.

  1. Pray for the services and Sunday school classes.
  2.  prayerfully read the scriptures.
  3. Consider the questions and discuss them before attending a small group.
  4. Plan to attend a worship service.
  5. Plan to attend our friends and family day picnic at the Toledo city park after the 11AM service.
  6. Invite at least one person to sit with you.
  7.  Welcome all guests.

Blessings,
Joe
