Seeing God in your Darkness

This Sunday the message title is, “SEEING GOD IN YOUR DARKNESS.”  If you know anyone who is going through a dark time, this week’s teaching will really help you help them.  You can come and learn so you can speak hope to them, or you can bring them along. There are many kinds of darkness. Often it can begin with a loss or a failure. It can begin with one area of the life and plunge the entire life into a black hole.  God wants to lead us out of our darkness.  Sometimes He allows darkness to draw us to seek Gods light. Once we can see the cause of our darkness the darkness can be dealt with. Sometime this turns into a journey.

Pro 4:18, But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, That shines brighter and brighter until the full day.

  • Sometimes hard sin issues must be dealt with.

1Jn 1:5-7, This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. 6If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 7but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

  • Sometimes grief and loss must be processed with God and others.

Psa 18:28, For You light my lamp; The LORD my God illumines my darkness.

Psa 27:1, A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?

If you are in a dark time, don’t sit alone at home. Come and give God’s truth a place to shine in you.
