“Next”- How to Trust God and Do the Next Thing”!

Dear Friends,

We all have more influence than we think. What does it take to use it? How can we use it for good? This will be the topic on the 21st. You have this power for good or evil just by your connection to others. Recognizing and using the power of influence to help people know and follow Jesus is a central purpose for your life.

What are the things we must do to be an influence for good and not evil?I want to challenge you this week to use your influence to encourage others to attend your group and services. Use the best way you know.

Blessings,

Joe

STEPS TO PREPARE

PRAY FOR THE SERVICES AND FOR YOURSELF
AND ME AND THE OTHER TEACHERS.

PRAYERFULLY READ THE SCRIPTURES
AND CONSIDER THE DISCUSSION QUESTIONS.

MAKE PLANS TO ATTEND A PREACHING SERVICE AND A SMALL GROUP.

INVITE SOMEONE TO COME WITH YOU.

PREPARING FOR SUNDAY: SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS

Who do you not have influence with? List them. Why not?

Who do you have influence with? Why?

Share a story of how someone influenced you in a good way.

What would you look for in seeing if your influence is good?

Joh 15:8 “My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.

How can we be a bad influence without knowing it?

What should be done to repair and build damaged influence?

1 Co 13:1-13 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. 4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part; 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away. 11 When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. 13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Are you known as a peacemaker?

Mat 5:9“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

2 Co 5:20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

What investments must you make in others to have a good influence?

Please write down one person you will try to repair or invest your influence with for good.

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.”
