Dear Friends,

Sometimes we can feel like we must sell people on the gospel with gimmicks and bribes. This tendency reveals our lack of faith in the power of the gospel itself. Many indeed seem indifferent and indignant, but there is always someone the Holy Spirit is working in to bring light into their darkness. This week, trust God; someone you tell will hear, and the miracle of conviction and illumination will be observed.

Remember the power of the gospel.
Romans 1:14-17  I am under obligation both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish. 15  So, for my part, I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome. 16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17  For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.

Remember that God will use you as you tell others.
Romans 10:14-17  How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? 15  How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!” 16  However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, “LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?” 17  So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

You are not selling your job; it’s telling. Tell everyone, and leave the results to God. Today, tell someone, invite someone, welcome someone, and pray for someone.

This Sunday, the message will deal with how living hope can come from a song. And yes, there will be a banjo involved! Ha-Ha. Can’t wait to see you at 8:00 or 11:00 am.

Invite folks to Easter Brunch, and pray God opens their hearts to the gospel!
