This Sunday we’ll continue our Together series in Acts 2:42–47. Last week we looked at the shared devotions that shaped the life of the early church. This week we’ll move into Acts 2:43–46 and look at what those devotions began to produce in them.

Luke gives us a picture of a church learning to share life together. They expected God to be at work among them. They made room for one another. They shared what they had when someone was in need. And their life together moved beyond a weekly gathering into homes, meals, and the ordinary rhythms of everyday life.

Before Sunday, take a few minutes to read Acts 2:43–46 and think about these questions:

• Where do you see God at work in the life of His people?
• What might it look like for you to make more room for other people in your life?
• Is there a need you could help meet with something God has entrusted to you?
• Who could you invite into an ordinary part of your life—a meal, a conversation, or simply some time together?

One phrase in verse 46 is especially worth noticing: “day by day.” The life Luke describes wasn’t built only around special church events. Following Jesus was becoming a shared way of life.

That’s part of what we’re learning together as a church. Spiritual formation isn’t simply about knowing more about Jesus. It is learning to live His way—and we were never meant to do that alone.

I’m looking forward to worshiping with you on Sunday as we continue learning what it means to:

Be with Jesus.
Become like Jesus.
Do what Jesus did.
…together.
