Sunday Services:

The Father We Seek - Pastor Joe Martin - June 21, 2026

Dear Friends,

This Sunday is Father’s Day. It seems that having” daddy issues “has become almost cliché. People seem to have an arsenal of grievances and complaints against their fathers. Many people are angry and alienated over a list of fatherly failures and daddy disappointments.

This clearly reveals that there is some universal standard of an ideal father ingrained in our hearts. All this points to not only a moral obligation for fatherhood but a deep longing for a relationship with an ideal father.

Jesus taught what no other religion has taught: God himself is the father you have always sought.

This Sunday, I will preach and teach on knowing the Father your heart has always longed for. Invite your friends and family, and come to a service, breakfast, and class. Your fathers and grandfathers, this is a wonderful day for you because we have a perfect father to trust and worship.

1 John 3:1 What marvelous love the Father has extended to us! Just look at it–we’re called children of God!

That’s who we really are. But that’s also why the world doesn’t recognize us or take us seriously, because it has no idea who he is or what he’s up to.

Blessings,
Joe
