Scott Crossfield
Family Strengthening PastorBorn and raised in Minnesota, I was blessed to grow up in a Christian family where I gave my life to Christ at the age of 8. As a young man, I joined the Army and served as an Airborne Ranger in Washington State. At 21, I recommitted my life to Christ and started following Jesus not just as my savior, but as Lord of my life.
After college, I was serving Christ at a Young Life Camp in Colorado when I was called into vocational ministry. God then brought me back to WA state where I attended Golden Gate Seminary. Toward the end of my studies, I was able to serve as Youth Intern at Toledo First Baptist. Little did I know that God would bring my wife and I full circle to serve here years later.
After seminary, I served as a Chaplain at the Mayo Clinic and then in the Army for 15 years. While in the Army I received a Master’s degree in counseling and completed three combat tours. I retired in 2013 and was blessed to be able to come aboard part time at TFBC as the Family Strengthening Pastor. My wife Lawna and I have three children. A daughter Promise and two sons, Josiah and Shawn. We are excited to be a part of this vibrant fellowship that seeks to love God and love people.
